As a Security Officer Patrol in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a school setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

• Tue: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM
• Wed: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM
• Thur: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM
• Fri: 08:30 AM - 04:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies at an educational location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established campus procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following applicable emergency response procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and public service personnel as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
