Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Customer Service to serve students, staff, visitors at an educational government location. You will provide exceptional customer service while patrolling and monitoring access points.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established response protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and security-related observations.
