Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer for a facility in Paterson, NJ. Starting salary is $16.75 per hour with shifts Sun–Sat and alternating weekends.

Typical shifts are 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. Responsibilities include patrolling, observing for signs of crime or hazards, de-escalating incidents, inspecting devices, screening visitors, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, and unauthorized individuals.
• Orally and physically de-escalating individuals, as needed.
• Inspect all security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, or other emergencies with calm urgency.
• May include patient escort, patient watch, and safety escort.
