Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school policies, maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site procedures.
