Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a facility located in Wayne, NJ. Starting Salary is $16.75 Per Hour with Sat & Sun shifts: 7:00AM-3:00PM and 3:00PM-11:00PM.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience and involves safeguarding a healthcare environment and providing professional customer service. Responsibilities include patrolling, de-escalating incidents, inspecting security devices, screening visitors, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security experience.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing varies by state; driver's license may be required for driving roles.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed positions.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or via a vehicle to check for unsafe conditions, security violations, mechanical problems, and unauthorized individuals.
• De-escalate confrontations verbally and physically as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and client employees to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, floods, or severe weather with calm urgency.
• Provide patient escort or safety escort as needed and transport deceased to morgue.
