Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Unarmed Driving) in Chesapeake, VA to protect client properties across multiple industries. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, maintain visibility, and deliver excellent customer service to tenants and visitors.

The role requires a grounded safety mindset, ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to work a night schedule. Compensation starts at $18.21 per hour with part-time hours and a live shift-claim platform for

Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor building access, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and report unauthorized access attempts, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed by established protocols.
• Document daily activities, patrol findings, incidents, and visitor or contractor information in required reports and logs.
