Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed) in Suffolk, VA. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service at a technology-focused site.

Responsibilities include reporting incidents and maintaining a visible security presence; prior access control and CPR are valued, with flexible shifts on Fridays and Saturdays.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, contractor, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
