Allied Universal in Richmond, VA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to protect clients across diverse facilities. You will patrol, deter incidents, and deliver courteous customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office spaces, parking areas, loading zones and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and incidents calmly and document observations.
• Complete daily activity reports and relay information to leadership.

Monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused office spaces, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying credentials and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete required daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
