Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Marysville, CA. This unarmed mobile patrol driver role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, monitor access, and document activities for site leadership. Pay is $20.00 per hour with a path to build a full-time schedule if desired.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the retail floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to identify concerns.
• Respond to incidents in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter theft and unauthorized access.
• Document observations and report to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Job Schedule

• Wed: 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sat: 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sun: 11:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established location procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and associate activity to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
