Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Carson, CA. This role offers flexible, anchor shifts and opportunities to gain hands-on security experience with a leading national provider.

The position focuses on unarmed patrols, resident and visitor safety, incident reporting, and responsive customer service. A six-month anchor shift commitment and the ability to pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform are part of the role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout residential common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious circumstances to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with site requirements.

The Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting role is located in Carson, CA.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
