Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced (Unarmed) to provide reliable, site-based security services at a technology and media location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including office areas, common spaces, and entrances.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate as directed.
• Prepare clear incident reports and patrol logs per Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, including office areas, common spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management processes in accordance with site procedures, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
