Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in Brooklyn, NY to provide excellent service to residents, visitors, and staff. You will patrol, monitor access, deter incidents, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• State/city license is preferred where applicable.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random un armed patrols of the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence in a residential setting.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by following post orders, communicating with site staff, and completing required activity reports.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, and/or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
