Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Hanahan, SC. You will help protect clients across industries, perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, and provide excellent customer service while upholding the company’s people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, office areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and site conditions in accordance with post orders and client requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate concerns as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

As a Security Officer Part Time - Unarmed Experience in Hanahan, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. Use your communication and computer skills to document observations and assist visitors and employees while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology and telecommunications facilities, office areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and site conditions in accordance with established post orders and client requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, client representatives, and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
