Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time - Unarmed) in Charleston, SC. You will conduct patrols, deter security incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence at a technology-focused location.

The role requires at least one year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and will involve a background check and drug screening. Hourly pay is $15.64 with a part-time schedule including afternoon/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in accordance with federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
