Allied Universal in Hanahan, SC is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed to provide reliable security services at a technology, media and telecommunications location. You will perform access control, patrols, and incident response while maintaining high standards of customer service.

The role features fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment, and a schedule that allows you to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, with potential progression toward a full-time

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening are required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed in Hanahan, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.37 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
