Job summary

Allied Universal in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Part Time Security Guard to monitor guests and protect property at a high-traffic entertainment venue. You will deliver professional service and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and staff.

This role offers scheduled Friday and Saturday night shifts with a $22.50 per hour pay rate and opportunities for ongoing training, advancement, and benefits through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and team members while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the entertainment venue, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support a welcoming environment.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
