Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced in Seattle, WA. The role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $23.72 per hour. The position provides a fixed anchor shift with optional extra shifts to increase earnings, and opportunities to progress toward full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Possess a TSA-issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law; licensing rules may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and employees by following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols through retail and mall areas and surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions and monitoring of security systems.

DayTimeMon06:30 AM - 05:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and monitoring of security‑related systems in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA‑issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
