Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Examiner in Indianapolis, IN. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, designed for reliability with flexible hours up to 40 per week as needed.

You will provide customer service at a logistics site, screen personnel and vehicles, and respond to incidents with calm, professional handling, while adhering to site procedures and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of security-related experience required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law and policy.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen authorized personnel, visitors, shipments, and/or vehicles in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and help deter unauthorized entry into controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Examiner in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
