Qualifications

• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures.
• Screen packages, cargo, personal belongings, and/or individuals using approved screening methods.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document observations accurately.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the site to deter unauthorized activity.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Technician in Indianapolis, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, cargo, personal belongings, and/or individuals using approved screening methods and equipment in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized access attempts, prohibited items, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner and document observations accurately.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
