Job summary

Allied Universal in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to patrol a Data Center location and provide a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service.

You will monitor access, perform regular patrols, respond to incidents, and maintain logs in accordance with site procedures. This role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to grow within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor/contractor authorization per site procedures, and maintain logs/documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents per established procedures.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain required logs and documentation.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and promptly notifying appropriate personnel.


• Report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal management in accordance with established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
