Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Patrol Public Interaction) in Washington, DC. You will protect clients across commercial real estate and related facilities, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

As a Part-Time Officer, you can build a flexible schedule and participate in our Shift-claiming platform. The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork and proactive communication with tenants, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and personnel by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct routine patrols of common areas, parking facilities, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with occupants and leadership and report maintenance issues observed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control processes, and emergency response activities as appropriate.


• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.


• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout commercial property common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.


• Monitor access points, visitor activity, deliveries, and contractor entry in accordance with property policies and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.


• Communicate professionally with building occupants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and security-related issues observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
