Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Williamsburg, VA to monitor and protect facilities in food and beverage locations. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will provide a visible security presence, assist employees and guests, respond calmly to incidents, and document activity with tablet tools.

Pay Rate: $18.72 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of food and beverage production, storage, loading, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately; communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
