Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time Unarmed in Williamsburg, VA to support our clients with professional security services. The role offers a fixed-shift schedule, a six-month commitment, and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to grow earnings.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Communications (Williamsburg, VA)

Pay Rate: $18.72 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and facility personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of food and beverage production, warehouse, loading dock, parking, office, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, including unsecured doors, damaged equipment, or sanitation‑related concerns, to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
