Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Williamsburg, VA. You will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering excellent guest and staff service at a hospitality location.

Position offers a part-time schedule with day/evening shifts. You will follow security protocols, document incidents, and coordinate with location personnel to deter incidents while ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and employees.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as required by law.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements per state/local laws; valid driver’s license for driving positions if applicable.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Fri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, public spaces, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
