As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while using computer or tablet systems to document activities and support site operations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM
• Sun: 06:45 AM - 03:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including office spaces, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; assist with directing guests and reporting unauthorized access concerns.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed to support a professional and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
