Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and activity logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as appropriate.
• Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with occupants and visitors, documenting observations, and following applicable policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
