As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service. You will use clear communication and a caring, people-first approach while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting access concerns, maintenance issues, and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting emergency services or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
