Job summary

Allied Universal in De Soto, KS is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Support to safeguard clients across tech/media/telecom sites. You will monitor and deter incidents, manage access control, and provide excellent customer service.

This role requires lifting, CPR/First Aid preferred, and background check; schedule includes night shifts and weekend coverage; pay is $22.28 per hour.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background checks and drug screening may be conducted as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior/exterior areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities and communicate information to supervision and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol CPR Support in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally, use technology to document observations, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarms, cameras, and/or other assigned systems; report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
