Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Patrol Risk Recognition Security Officer in Norfolk, VA. You will provide customer service, conduct routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while maintaining professional communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and personnel at an aerospace and defense location by applying security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate contacts and emergency responders.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or other personnel at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive site information.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
