As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting residents, guests, and property staff. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun04:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and maintain accurate access logs and related documentation.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate observations, access-control issues, and security-related concerns to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
