• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screening required where allowed by law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at ferry terminals and related transportation facilities.
• Respond to incidents, passenger concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminal areas, boarding locations, waiting areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe passenger and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
