Job Schedule:

• Wed: 12:15 AM - 08:45 AM
• Thur: 08:15 AM - 04:45 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, ferry terminal personnel, and other members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of ferry terminal areas, access points, waiting areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with directing visitors, vendors, and authorized personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
