Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at a Leawood, KS front desk. You will greet tenants and visitors, verify IDs, issue credentials, and monitor access and security systems to maintain a safe lobby presence.

You will respond to incidents calmly, coordinate with management and emergency responders, and provide building information while delivering a welcoming, professional experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A background check is required as a condition of employment.
• A drug screen is required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with building management and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Answer and direct phone calls, provide general building information, and maintain a professional, welcoming presence in the lobby area.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 07:00 AM - 11:00 AM
• Tue: 11:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed: 07:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
