Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Officer for the Lenexa front desk location. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff, monitor access, issue visitor passes, and provide directions with a calm, professional presence.

Ideal candidates have customer service experience, basic computer skills, and are at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front desk of a healthcare diagnostic location following site procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility and verify visitor credentials; issue passes and logs.
• Answer phones, give directions, and assist with general inquiries professionally.
• Respond to incidents, medical concerns, and emergencies calmly and contact site contacts/ responders as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity or security concerns to appropriate personnel.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.76 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sun 08:00 AM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff at the front desk of a healthcare diagnostic location by following site-specific procedures and Allied Universal policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor credentials as required, issue visitor passes, and maintain visitor logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Answer phones, provide directions, and assist with general inquiries while maintaining a professional, calm, and welcoming presence.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
