Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer at our Welcome Desk in Kansas City, MO. You will greet visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and respond to security concerns with professionalism in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

This full-time role offers a schedule with evening shifts and a pay rate of $19.14 per hour. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, drug screen where permitted

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Serve as a welcoming, visible presence by greeting visitors, managing access, monitoring entry activity, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a front desk within a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.

• Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing appropriate access materials, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests in accordance with site requirements.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.

• Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel while maintaining a professional front-desk presence.

• Observe and report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related issues to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
