Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Badge Patrol in Nashville, TN. You will perform unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access points, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors at a campus location.

The role emphasizes integrity, teamwork, reliability, and a caring approach, with the opportunity to build a flexible schedule and advance through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by employer.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation per Allied Universal and site procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 09:30 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
