Job summary

MSC Security is seeking dependable security officers for part-time, first, second, third shifts and weekends in Baltimore, MD. The role requires standing/walking, patrols, incident reporting, and clear communication with clients and team members.

Qualified applicants are 18+, legally eligible to work in the US, HS diploma or GED, and able to pass drug screening and a background check. Maryland Guard Card eligibility and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Have reliable transportation (public transportation will not be considered).
• Possess a working cell phone for communication with Operations Supervisors.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions.
• Be eligible to obtain a Maryland Guard Card.
• Be able to perform duties outlined in post orders, which may include extended periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
• Be comfortable using mobile technology, including tablets and smartphones.
• Possess a valid full driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily activity log for each assigned shift and post.
• Accurately document incidents in detailed written reports.
• Conduct walking and/or vehicular patrols throughout assigned shifts.
• Enforce client rules and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
• Report to assigned posts on time and in proper uniform.
• Communicate effectively with the public, clients, and fellow team members.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Practice active listening and professional customer service.
• Assess and respond appropriately to emergencies and critical situations.
• Identify potential security concerns quickly and take appropriate action.
