Job summary

MSC Security is seeking security officers for a mobile patrol at a shopping center in Germantown, MD. The role requires a valid Maryland guard card, a full active driver's license, and the ability to pass a drug screen. Shifts include 36 hours Mon-Thu 1,300–22:00 and 27 hours Fri-Sun 13:00–22:00, paid at $19.00 per hour.

Prior experience in security and strong reliability are valued. Applicants must be at least 18, legally eligible to work in the US, and able to pass background checks.

Qualifications

• GED/High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Maryland Guard Card must be active and valid.
• Full, active driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily log of activities during the shift at the post.
• Document incidents in detailed incident reports.
• Conduct walking and vehicular patrols throughout shifts.
• Enforce rules in a professional and courteous manner.
• Arrive on time in proper uniform and be ready to work.
• Interact effectively with the public and colleagues.
• Assess emergencies quickly and respond appropriately.

REQUIREMENTS:

• FULL DRIVERS LICNESE--NO PROVISIONAL
• ACTIVE MARYLAND STATE POLICE GUARD CARD
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years
• Legal work status in the US
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Reliable and functional transportation (Public transportation is not acceptable)
• Ownership of a cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors
• Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions
• Ability to perform duties as stated in post orders, which may include standing/walking for extended periods or lifting
• Familiarity with mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.)
• Possession of a VALID full driver’s license (public transportation is not acceptable)
