Job summary

MSC Security is seeking dependable security officers to protect client assets and personnel in Baltimore. Candidates must meet basic requirements and be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and MD Guard Card licensing.

This role supports multiple shifts across full-time and part-time schedules with benefits to employees. Responsibilities include documenting incidents, patrolling on foot or by vehicle, enforcing client policies, communicating clearly with the public and team members,

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screening.
• Have reliable transportation (public transportation will not be considered).
• Possess a working cell phone for communication with Operations Supervisors.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions.
• Be eligible to obtain a Maryland (MD) Guard Card.
• Be able to perform duties outlined in post orders, including extended standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
• Be comfortable using mobile technology, including tablets and smartphones.
• Possess a valid full driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily activity log for each assigned shift and post.
• Accurately document incidents in detailed written reports.
• Conduct walking and/or vehicular patrols throughout assigned shifts.
• Enforce client rules and policies in a professional and courteous manner.
• Report to assigned posts on time and in proper uniform.
• Communicate effectively with the public, clients, and fellow team members.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Practice active listening and professional customer service.
• Assess and respond appropriately to emergencies and critical situations.
• Identify potential security concerns quickly and take appropriate action.
