Job summary

Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center is seeking a Full-Time Security Officer for the overnight shift. Responsibilities include safeguarding guests, staff and vendors, handling incidents, and performing building patrols while delivering guest-focused service.

Qualifications include a merchant guard license or proximity to hire, CPR/First Aid/AED training, and strong communication skills. The position requires standing, stairs, and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR, First Aid and AED trained or within 90 days of hire.
• Previous interactive customer service experience is required.
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidate must be comfortable dealing with emergency situations.
• Candidate must be able to stand for long periods, use stairs and walk moderate distances.
• Candidate must be proficient in basic computer skills.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be able work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure security and safety of the hotel, guests, employees and visitors.
• Interact with guests and associates to assist with questions, directions, incident reports and emergencies.
• Issue visitor badges, radios, and keys; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Conduct building patrols, lock interrogations, and safe assists as needed.

This position is for a Full -Time Security Officer Overnight Shift at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center.

Security Officers are responsible for the security and safety of the hotel, guests, employees, visitors and vendors; and for providing exceptional service for our guests. Officers have the opportunity to interact with our guests and associates by assisting them with questions, directions, incident reports, problems and in emergency situations. Other duties include issuing visitor badges, radios, and keys, maintaining accurate logs, reporting and completing incident reports, completingbuilding patrols, lock interrogations, safe assists and handling any security related situations that arise.

The Overnight Shift hours for this position are 11:00pm – 7:30am. Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

The rate for this position is $23.00/hour, plus an additional $1.00 shift differential for overnight shifts.
