Job summary

Hyatt Regency Denver Convention Center is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to maintain the safety of guests, associates, visitors and property. You will patrol, monitor access, issue visitor badges, respond to incidents and document events in logs.

This full-time role requires weekend and holiday availability, CPR/First Aid/AED training (or within 90 days), and a merchant guard license (or within 90 days). The position pays $23.00/hour with a $1.00 shift differential for overnight hours.

Qualifications

• Must be merchant guard license or within 90 days of hire.
• Must be CPR, First Aid and AED trained or within 90 days of hire.
• Previous interactive customer service experience is required.
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidate must be comfortable dealing with emergency situations.
• Candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time, be comfortable using stairs and walk moderate distances.
• Candidate must be proficient in basic computer skills.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be able work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety of the hotel, guests, employees, visitors and vendors.
• Interact with guests and associates by answering questions, giving directions and handling incidents.
• Issue visitor badges, radios, and keys; maintain accurate incident logs.
• Complete incident reports and patrols; handle lock interrogations and safe assists.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in coordinating security-related actions.
