Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Part Time Patrol in Austin, Texas. You will monitor and safeguard clients across various industries, using a flexible schedule via our Shift-claim platform.

You’ll maintain a strong presence, deter incidents, and respond professionally while upholding our core values of agility, teamwork, innovation, care and integrity. Qualified candidates hold an armed guard card or license and are at least 21 years old with a high school diploma.

An active armed guard card or license is required.

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Sat 12:00 PM - 08:00 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of commercial properties, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and carry authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site procedures, and applicable laws.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
