Job summary

Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking a Full Time Armed Security Officer/Driver Credential Verification to safeguard clients across tech spaces. You will perform routine armed patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This role requires a valid Armed Guard Card, 3+ years of security or related experience (or a college degree), a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to work night shifts on Wed–Sat.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card or License.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout technology-focused facilities, offices, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions and communicate information to leadership.

Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and applicable armed post requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout technology-focused facilities, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
