Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Luxury Retail location in Paramus, NJ. You will protect clients and guests while delivering exceptional service in a high-end environment.

This full-time role offers a competitive pay rate of $19.10 per hour and a daytime schedule with multiple shifts. You will monitor access, patrol, respond to incidents, and maintain a professional presence to deter security-related issues.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in a luxury retail environment, following established entry, credentialing, and package-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, and perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
• Support a welcoming, professional shopping experience through courteous communication, detailed observation, and timely documentation of incidents and activities.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
