Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for a luxury retail location in Paramus, NJ. You will monitor, protect, and assist guests while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced setting.

As a full-time Security Officer, you’ll work a varied schedule and help deter incidents by maintaining a strong professional presence, following site policies, and coordinating with the team to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and team members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in a luxury retail environment, following established entry, credentialing, and package-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Support a welcoming, professional shopping experience through courteous communication, detailed observation, and timely documentation of incidents and activities.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 10:00 AM - 09:00 PM
• Wed 10:00 AM - 09:00 PM
• Fri 11:30 AM - 09:30 PM
• Sat 11:30 AM - 09:30 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
