Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and personnel while following security procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the luxury retail location and surrounding areas.
• Monitor access points and report observations to site leadership.

Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Perimeter Security in East Rutherford, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, associates, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns. Pay Rate: $19.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Tue: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Fri: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Sat: 11:00 AM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and retail personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the luxury retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, potential loss‑prevention concerns, and policy violations; report observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when appropriate.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
