Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a multi-tenant office building patrol. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors, while patrolling and maintaining a secure environment across retail and commercial properties.

The role requires at least 6 months in security, a high school diploma, and compliance with background checks and possible drug screening. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for professional growth and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and vendors by following site-specific procedures and security protocols.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and professionally; contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and document activities, incidents, and observations.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations with a visible professional presence and timely reporting.

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

• Wed: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sun: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a retail and commercial property.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific policies; document relevant activities, incidents, and observations.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, trespassing, and other policy violations through a visible professional presence and timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
