Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Mall Patrol in Paramus, NJ. You will serve and safeguard clients at a retail/mall location, conducting unarmed patrols and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

As a Security Officer Full Time Mall Patrol in Paramus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and assist visitors with exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking facilities, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting policy violations, maintenance concerns, hazards, and suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Complete clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
