Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in New York, NY. You will monitor a retail location, deter theft, and provide excellent customer service while upholding site policies.

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Loss Prevention in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, team members, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $19.48 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, report observations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel, and document incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with access control, delivery activity, and other security-related duties that help to deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
