Job summary

Allied Universal® in Normal, IL is hiring a Security Officer Licensed Driver. This full-time role involves driving unarmed, patrolling manufacturing and business locations, monitoring access, and delivering excellent customer service.

You will respond to incidents with professionalism and document activities clearly. Eligible candidates provide a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries by following site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of facilities, parking lots, offices, entrances, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents and security activities.

As a Security Officer Licensed Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Security Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working with a caring team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

• Mon 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Wed 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, offices, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
